Awesome!!!! Major tailgate for G'town!!!

Not much room left for tailgates anymore, unless it's in an underground garage.

We reserved some of the spots by the tennis courts, that or we're at JPauls. Hopefully, we can keep a 4Qtr lead. :(

Flyergramps --
Plan on coming out early if you want to go to Saratoga, I think they stop running around Labor Day. Saratoga is about 1.5 hours North of Poughkeepsie. Plenty to see and do in the area -- see my thread "If you come to Marist this season" elsewhere on this page for hotels, restaurants, tourism, etc. I'm not sure when Dayton is coming in next season, but my guess is too late for you to go to the track.
Happy T-Day from the Hudson Valley.

I believe 2 of Marist's OOC games are Lafayette @ Poughkeepsie in September and Georgetown @ DC later in the Fall. Haven't heard anything on 3rd OOC game but we have had continuing series for a number of years with Bucknell & Sacred Heart so I guessing one of them.

Until a year ago I didn't even know where Poughkeepsie was let alone spell it. Now of course I do. Lo and behold, yesterday Grandma and I heard the name mentioned on TV - TWICE!

On our evening news they had an unemployment story about a family that moved from Poughkeepsie a couple of years ago because of the health care jobs available in Raleigh. First the mother got laid off and then the father. Later, during some basketball there was a US Postal commercial about these new Priority Mail boxes with one fee for shipping anywhere - even to Poughkeepsie.

Maybe I should plan to visit there next year. I'd love to go up to Saratoga Springs when they're runnin.

Got up at 8:00, put drops in my eyes, drops in my ears, took my pills, put on the knee brace and limped down the hill with Nipper to get the morning paper. My name wasn't in the paper so that's good news. Grandma has the turkey breast in the oven and is counting the carbs she plans to feed me. (Please understand that this is the way it eventually gets in life)

Now I'm on the internet and will soon begin to reread the whole UD football season because...there ain't no more games for the Flyers! Well, at least not for 9 months!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there! And Good Luck Butler!
