Dayton is embarrassing themselves. San Diego 21 Dayton 3. Seems that playing bad, lower division teams, does not prepare you for conferences games.

Well Davidson is beating up on St. Andrews 63-6 in the 3rd quarter. Sheesh. And as I have said before, this game should not be eligible for PFL players of the week. Final score was 84-6. Davidson should be embarrassed for having played this game. Don't know the details, but running up 84 points is just sad.

Agree on both points: POW and Davidson is above this — they never should have scheduled this embarrassing game given St. Andrews previous competitive history. St. Andrews (NAIA) has not had a winning season since at least 2019 and have only won 9 games in that period. Last season they were 1-10. This season they were 0-3 coming into Davidson. Thus far in the 4 games they have played, they have scored 34 points and given up a whopping 261 for an average of 65.3 pts/game.

I don't think it was a great (NAIA) opponent to be scheduled but we did not "run" up the score. The bulk of the second half was played by our 2nd and 3rd team. We are a good running team and we just ran the ball. In the first half we chose to pass and we were 16-18. Personally I think Pioneer teams should have to play at least 2 OOC games with FCS opponents. Currently the league needs to get better and playing the likes of St Andrews, Webber, Taylor, Wabash, St Thomas/FL, & Lynchburg are not good for our league strength. Hats off to Marist for playing 3 FCS schools. Our old stadium and turf have somewhat hurt our schedule (So I have been told) so I hope that will change.

It happens. I’ve been on both sides of 63-0 final scores lol. In the NFL, Miami won 70-20 today smh. Backups scored.

I don't think it was a great (NAIA) opponent to be scheduled but we did not "run" up the score. Nothing wrong with NAIA football, per se. However, Bethel - the team that beat St. Andrews 77-0 the week before - would have been a better choice.

So true. Good NAIA programs are worth scheduling. They’re scholly programs, but some are pretty poor, so ya gotta only schedule challengers, not ham and eggers. And Davidson knew St. Andrews was a drop dead record enhancer. C’mon man.
And the fact that the score was driven up by 2nd and 3rd stringers reinforces this.
I second the move toward PFL scheduling guidelines that pressure members to construct an OOC schedule that is challenging and that eliminates non-schollly teams i.e., only FCS (full scholly for the pay days, but mainly Ivys, NEC and Patriot), NCAA DII, and only NAIA teams with an overall winning record over the past 5 seasons.
