My personal opinion is that the PFL players of the week should only come from games against Division 1 competition. Running up stats against some lower division team is not worthy....

I think they got it right this week. 300 yards & 5 TDs seems worthy

I don't forsee 20+ passing attempts every game but I definitely think the passing game will need to become a bigger part of the game plan for sure. That and getting away from the basic vanilla defensive scheme and personnel. Been watching teams routinely convert 3 & 20 for 6 years now. Who else subs in an extra LB on obvious passing downs?

If you talk to Coach Abell, he always expects to pass. Last year our starter was not a great passer and teams decided to stack the line. His offense gets down right scary if we have a QB who can run, read option, and pass. I think Marist took two weeks prepping for the run.
The new rules will be overcome on the outside with more speed option with our fullbacks leading or pulling more linemen. Our coaches will become happy accepting 5-6 yard runs outside vs looking for the home run.
Defensively we could use a few tweaks but overall on D we are a very young unit starting mostly sophs.
Our new turf field is completed and the stadium in on schedule for next season. It is very impressive and will help us step up recruiting. Things are good in Cat Country.
However, like the rest of the league, I have no idea if NIL and the portal will become a problem.
